He nodded. "It's not answers I came here for, Angelaine. Just trying to make sure I'm asking the right questions."
"Going in there in any capacity is out of the question. It would be risky, dangerous, and foolhardy. I have no intention of risking myself or ANYONE going in there. Certainly not for a personal thing such as this.
I got to thinking about it becuase one of our ships is out there in the vicinity. There's been some Klingon activity Spotted in the area. Perhaps we'll get a report on any findings out there. Maybe there is a way to get out of there, and we just haven't figured it out, yet."
He walked over to Angie's Computer screen, logged in and brought up a medical report that Dr Pierce Had taken after ther recent experience.
"This brainscan was taken of you after the mission. As you can see, it shows what appears to be an overlapping brain pattern. The Dr. doesn;t think it will hurt you, but I believe that what this is is memories they gave you. They may coalesce inside you as time goes by. You have been given custodianship of what was left of those people. You will remember them, what they knew, what they did, in time. The databanks will reveal their culture, but you, Angelaine, you carry their souls. I think they chose their custodian wisely." He smiled.
"Now I thank you, but I've imposed on you long enough." He stood.

Angelaine also got to her feet. "It is comforting to know that they did not entirely go into oblivion. You have not imposed on me, Captain. I am glad to be able to help in any way open to me. I hope the Klingons don't prove to be hard to talk to. I really don't want to have to call the Leader of the High Council again.
Cyrano, any time you need to talk, I will listen, I want you to know that. I'll return to my station in a few hours. I want to finish what I began here. Thank you for understanding, Sir."
